A Note on the Tyke Division

Our Tyke division is an introduction to softball for very young players, many of whom have never played the game. We keep score during the games, but it's the least important aspect of the league.

• Every child plays every inning in the field.

• The pitching is done by a neutral adult, so every effort is made to help every batter make contact with the ball.

The goal is to let everyone have fun while acquiring some basic skills, experiencing a little competition, and learning how to be a good teammate.
